01What these cover
These terms cover your use of EuroMakers: browsing the directory, member accounts, submitting and editing listings, launches, votes, reviews, maker updates, stacks, the Monday digest, paid placements and Pro.
By using the site you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
02Your account
You need an account to submit software, vote, review, follow and keep a synced stack. Sign in with an email code, Google or GitHub.
One account per person. Keep your details accurate, and you’re responsible for what happens on your account.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example one used for fake votes, spam or impersonation.
03Listings
Submit only real software that’s made in Europe, and only details that are true. Say whether you make the product or recommend it.
A person reviews every submission. We decide what’s listed and how it’s categorised, and we may tidy the wording so the directory reads consistently.
We can decline a submission, and remove or hide a listing that stops meeting the listing criteria.
Listing and verifying are free. A place in the directory can’t be bought.
04Verified owners
You can claim a listing by proving you run its website: an email address on its domain, a DNS record or a file on the site.
Verified owners can edit the description, features and audience, post updates and reply to reviews. Keep it accurate.
Every edit is kept, and editors can undo one that breaks the listing criteria.
05Launches and votes
Each member has one vote per launch. Makers can’t vote for their own launch.
Don’t buy, trade or fake votes, and don’t use extra accounts to vote. We can remove votes, or a launch, that break this rule.
06Reviews and updates
Reviews should describe your own experience with the product. You can’t review a product you own.
Keep reviews and maker updates honest and on topic. No spam, abuse, illegal content or other people’s personal data. We can hide anything that breaks this.
07Your content
What you post stays yours. You let us store, show and format it across EuroMakers, the Monday digest and the public directory API, and you confirm you have the right to share it.
If you delete your account, the listings you submitted stay in the directory as editorial entries, without your name.
08Placements and Pro
Dodo Payments is the merchant of record for placements and Pro. It sells them to you, takes the payment, charges VAT where it applies and sends the invoice. Its own terms apply to the payment.
Placements are always labelled “Sponsored” and never change votes or rankings. We can decline or end a placement that breaks the listing criteria; anything that didn’t run is refunded in full.
If a payment arrives after your held slot has lapsed, we move it to the next free slot, or refund it in full.
Pro renews every month or year until you cancel. Cancel from your billing page whenever you like: Pro stays on until the period you paid for ends.
09Using the site fairly
You’re welcome to read the directory, link to it and use the public API. Don’t overload the site, get around its security or rate limits, or send spam through its forms.
10Other people’s software
We check listings, but the software in the directory is made and sold by others. Their own terms apply when you use it.
EuroMakers is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t promise that every listing is complete or that the site never goes down.
11Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we’ll tell members about important changes before they apply.
