The Journal · Made in Europe

The shop has two tabs. Annual. Monthly. There is no perpetual.

On 12 September the Cinema 4D card, billed annually, printed $69.91 a month and $839.00 for the year. The line under the name is the product:

Dive into 3D animation, modeling, and simulation with the world’s fastest GPU renderer, Redshift now included.

— maxon.net/en/buy, Cinema 4D card, 12 September 2026
Maxon Plans and Pricing on the Annual tab: Maxon One $105.41 a month billed $1265 a year, Cinema 4D $69.91 a month billed $839 a year with Redshift now included, Red Giant $639 a year, Redshift $289 a year, plus a Maxon plus Adobe limited-offer banner
maxon.net/en/buy, Annual, 12 September 2026. Four cards. No box. Redshift is in the Cinema 4D line.

Cinema 4D is the motion-graphics 3D app: MoGraph cloners and effectors, a unified simulation stack, Cineware into After Effects. Maxon Computer GmbH in Bad Homburg, Germany, part of the Nemetschek Group, ships it. This piece is what the year actually buys.

Monthly is a hundred and nine

Switch the toggle. Cinema 4D is $109.00 a month. Maxon One is $169.00. Redshift on its own is $49.00. The Limited Offer banner disappears. The perpetual SKU does not appear.

Maxon Plans and Pricing on the Monthly tab: Maxon One $169 a month, Cinema 4D $109 a month with Redshift now included, Red Giant $85 a month, Redshift $49 a month, billed monthly
maxon.net/en/buy#monthly, 12 September 2026. Same four names. The cheap path is still a month, not a license you keep.

The fine print under the grid is the VAT warning, not a perpetual footnote. All pricing inclusive of the highest potential VAT rate. Actual VAT and pricing will appear in your cart. Exchange rates can move the number. The shop we loaded printed dollars.

The year includes Redshift

The product page repeats the annual card as a single figure. $839.00 / year per license. Plan includes: Redshift Renderer. 5 Team Render nodes. Maxon Capsules. Start Free Trial. Buy Now.

Cinema 4D product page purchase card: $839.00 a year per license, plan includes Redshift Renderer, 5 Team Render Nodes, and Maxon Capsules, with Start Free Trial and Buy Now buttons
maxon.net/en/cinema-4d, 12 September 2026. The year is the SKU. Redshift is a tick, not a second checkout.

GPU rendering is no longer an extra product if you already pay for Cinema 4D. The standalone Redshift card on the same shop is $289 a year, or $49 a month. You buy that when you need the renderer without the 3D app. The asterisk under the Cinema 4D plan is the farm catch:

Includes five (5) Team Render nodes for C4D. Redshift subscription for C4D does not include Team Render nodes.

— maxon.net/en/cinema-4d, plan footnote, 12 September 2026

The five nodes will chew the scene. They will not, on that footnote, get GPU Redshift unless each node has its own Redshift license. The year you paid for is the workstation. It is not an unbounded GPU farm.

Maxon One is the bundle: Cinema 4D, ZBrush, Redshift, Red Giant, Universe, Autograph, plus Capsules and Cineversity. $1265.00 billed annually, or $169 a month. One activated computer at a time. The apps in the plan cannot be split across machines. If the job is Cinema 4D and Redshift, the $839 card is the product. One is the rest of the pipeline.

The trial is Maxon One

The trial page does not offer a Cinema 4D-only download.

Download the Maxon App to start your 14-day free trial of Maxon One.

— maxon.net/en/try, 12 September 2026
Maxon Trial Downloads page: Download the Maxon App to start your 14-day free trial of Maxon One, Download Maxon App 2026.5.1 for Windows, macOS, and Linux
maxon.net/en/try, 12 September 2026. The trial is the suite. The installer is Maxon App 2026.5.1.

Windows, macOS, Linux. The product page says the same thing as a CTA: every trial includes Cinema 4D, Redshift, and the full Maxon One suite. The FAQ under the download is the version trap. Only the latest releases are available as a trial via the Maxon App. You do not get last year’s installer to keep.

If you arrived through Adobe After Effects, there is a second door. Adobe’s Cineware help, retrieved 12 September: After Effects includes a license to Cinema 4D Lite. You make a MyMaxon account. You can take Lite, or a 14-day trial of the full app. When that trial ends, the copy reverts to Lite with no time limit. Lite is the After Effects 3D companion. It is not MoGraph. It is not Redshift. It is not the $839 year.

Sixty dollars is the student year

Education is Maxon One, not a cheap Cinema 4D SKU. On 12 September the student shop printed $60.00 per year. Charged once. Valid for one year. Cinema 4D, Red Giant, Redshift, ZBrush, ZBrush for iPad, limited Capsules, training.

Maxon Plan and Pricing for Students: Maxon One Student at $60.00 per year, charged once, valid for one year, including Cinema 4D, Red Giant, Redshift, ZBrush, ZBrush for iPad, and limited Capsules, for personal learning only
maxon.net/en/buy/plan-pricing-for-students, 12 September 2026. Sixty dollars. One year. Not a commercial seat.

Educational licenses are intended for personal learning by students at an accredited university or college. Suspected commercial or other misuse may result in the immediate termination of your license

— maxon.net/en/buy/plan-pricing-for-students, 12 September 2026

School email. Student ID. A mobile phone and a passport or other official ID. Third-party verification. One activated computer. VPN off at checkout. When the year ends you re-verify. You do not keep a commercial Cinema 4D because you paid sixty dollars once.

iPad is late 2026

Cinema 4D for iPad is a beta form. The FAQ on 12 September is dated on purpose.

The official release is anticipated in late 2026. In the meantime, we invite users to join our beta program, providing early access and opportunities to help shape the final product.

— maxon.net/en/cinema-4d-for-ipad, 12 September 2026
Cinema 4D for iPad FAQ: pricing details will be shared closer to release; the iPad version is tailored for mobile workflows; official release anticipated in late 2026
maxon.net/en/cinema-4d-for-ipad, Q&A open, 12 September 2026. Late 2026. No price. Not the desktop app in a smaller window.

Pricing will be shared closer to release. The iPad build is tailored for mobile. It is not a promise that every desktop tool ports. Desktop still runs Windows, including Windows on Arm, and macOS. That is the shipping product.

2026.3 is a rental release

Earlier this year Cinema 4D added a Fabric Brush for shaping folds in the viewport, native Windows on Arm, a rebuilt UV editor, and new MoGraph cloner distributions on edges, outlines, and UVs. Redshift 2026.8 adds a Scratches shader and more cloud types. You get those while the subscription runs. You do not keep a 2026.3 box when the year stops.

Who should not start here

Anyone who wanted a perpetual license from maxon.net. Anyone who budgeted Lite as MoGraph and Redshift. Anyone who needs commercial work on a $60 student year. Anyone who needs Cinema 4D on iPad as a shipping SKU this week. Anyone who needs last year’s trial installer. Anyone who thought the five Team Render nodes were five GPU Redshift seats.

If the job is a Bad Homburg motion-graphics app with cloners and a GPU renderer in one year, start with the listing, then the shop. Open Annual. Open Monthly. If there is no perpetual tab, that is the product.
