Inoreader Intelligence Defaults to GPT-4o-mini

Help is one sentence: OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini. Pro can pick Mistral or Anthropic as a platform. Your own API key is the Intelligence reports add-on or Team Intelligence. Free is 150 feeds and no summaries.

The help page does not hedge.

OpenAI’s GPT-4o-mini.

— inoreader.com/help/intelligence/intelligence-usage/what-model-does-inoreader-intelligence-use-by-default, 13 September 2026
Inoreader help: What model does Inoreader Intelligence use by default? OpenAI’s GPT-4o-mini, with related questions about tokens, platforms, and API keys
inoreader.com help, Intelligence usage, 13 September 2026. One sentence. No second model.

That is the Inoreader plot. You subscribe to feeds in a Sofia reader. You click Summarize. The default model is OpenAI’s small one, unless you paid for a different door and brought a key.

Innologica in Sofia ships the RSS and content-monitoring reader: web, Android, iOS. This piece is what Intelligence actually calls.

Free is a hundred and fifty feeds

The shop has three single-user cards. Free forever. Pro. Custom, which is a quote.

Inoreader Pricing on the Single user tab: Free forever with no credit card, Pro at $7.50 a month billed annually or $9.99 billed monthly, Custom as a request-quote card
inoreader.com/pricing, Single user, 13 September 2026. The cheap Pro number is the year. Monthly is $9.99.

Free is 150 public RSS feeds. Saved pages. Featured collections. Dashboards. It is not newsletters as feeds. It is not web feeds without RSS. It is not monitoring feeds. It is not rules. It is not filters. It is not Intelligence.

Inoreader Compare features: RSS feeds 150 on Free and 2500 on Pro, Web feeds and Track changes 20 on Pro only, Newsletter feeds 20 on Pro only
Same pricing page, Compare features, 13 September 2026. A hundred and fifty subscriptions. Not unlimited.

Pro is seven fifty

Pro prints $7.50 a month, billed annually, or $9.99 billed monthly. That year is 2,500 RSS feeds, 20 web feeds, 20 newsletter feeds, 30 monitoring feeds, 30 rules, 50 filters. Social rows open: 30 Facebook, 30 Bluesky, 30 Telegram. Boosted feeds go to 100. Ads go away.

Intelligence arrives on this card. Article summaries. Transcripts and topics for podcasts and YouTube. Suggested tags. A million tokens a month, extra as an add-on. A 15-day trial control sits on the live pricing page. Annual payments can be refunded for seven days. Europe adds VAT at checkout unless you are VAT-registered and enter the company.

The Pro plan includes 1 million tokens per month.

Subscriptions recur. Cancel Pro and the extras deactivate; they do not vanish from the account. Turn Pro back on and they work again. The reader is the same product on the browser and the phone apps.

The platform picker is not your key

Pro can choose a custom inference platform. Help names three: OpenAI, Mistral AI, Anthropic. Preferences > Intelligence > Platforms. That tick is on Pro. It is Innologica’s setup, not your account.

Inoreader Intelligence comparison: Intelligence reports crossed out on Free and Pro, custom inference platform checked on Pro, Personal API key crossed out on Free and Pro
inoreader.com/pricing, Intelligence block, 13 September 2026. Platform is a Pro tick. Reports and your key are not.

Your own API key is a different row. It is an X on Pro. Help is the sentence that matters:

Yes, with the Intelligence reports add-on or a Team Intelligence plan. Choose a platform, connect your own API key, and select a model from Preferences > Intelligence > API keys. Update or remove it at any time.

— inoreader.com/help/intelligence/intelligence-usage/can-i-use-my-own-api-key, 13 September 2026
Inoreader help: Can I use my own API key? Yes, with the Intelligence reports add-on or a Team Intelligence plan, from Preferences, Intelligence, API keys
Same help centre, 13 September 2026. The key is not in the $7.50 year. It is the add-on, or Team Intelligence.

April’s product post said the same split. Platform selection on Pro, Custom, and Team. Connecting your own key on Intelligence add-ons and Team Intelligence. If no custom setup is configured, the enterprise FAQ still applies GPT-4o-mini automatically.

What leaves the reader is not your profile. Help: only publicly available article data is used. The enterprise FAQ lists title, date, source name, and author. That is still a call to OpenAI unless you paid to point the prompt somewhere else.

Teams buy Intelligence twice

Enterprise is two columns. Team. Team Intelligence. Three members: $44.99 a month against $64.99. Five: $74.99 against $99.99. Ten: $119.99 against $169.99. Twenty and fifty keep the same split. There is no self-serve trial button. The FAQ says contact them for a test drive.

Inoreader Enterprise pricing: Team versus Team Intelligence, 3 members $44.99 against $64.99 a month, 5 members $74.99 against $99.99, 10 members $119.99 against $169.99
inoreader.com/pricing/enterprise, 13 September 2026. The cheaper column is the shared folders. The dearer column is the model you pick.

Both columns include Pro features for every member: shared folders, channels, tags, filters, dashboards, file uploads, SSO, API. Intelligence reports, automated reports, and the personal API key sit on Team Intelligence. Token limits are a shared monthly pool, not a per-seat wallet. Admins watch usage from Preferences > Billing and usage.

Team Intelligence can set a default platform, key, and model for the whole room. A member can still switch in personal preferences. The cheap Team SKU is shared folders. It is not the key.

Who should not start here

Anyone who wanted summaries on Free. Anyone who budgeted 151 RSS feeds as forever. Anyone who read the Mistral tick as their own Mistral account. Anyone who needs bulk Intelligence reports without the add-on. Anyone who wanted a Team trial without emailing support. Anyone who thought cancelling Pro deleted the extra feeds from the account instead of switching them off.

If the job is a Sofia reader that still starts Intelligence on GPT-4o-mini, start with the listing, then help, then the grid. Open the default-model page. Open Personal API key. If the second row is still an X, that is the product.
