offgen Writes Into Your Master

Upload a .potx. It follows PowerPoint inheritance and fills real placeholders. A .pptx comes back, usually under 15 seconds a slide. MCP is one org key in private preview. The price is a company proposal, not a seat.

The Journal · Made in Europe

The offgen MCP page is still a private preview. The headline is theirs, not a catalog line:

Your assistant hands back the deck, not an outline.

— offgen.ai/en/mcp

Aithera GmbH in Munich ships it. The plot is the file. You stay in PowerPoint. The agent you already run asks. What comes back is a normal .pptx.

offgen homepage: Company Brain for PowerPoint, with a line that people and AI agents create native brand-compliant presentations through MCPs, and three facts: one Company Brain, 100 percent native PowerPoint output, MCP-ready
offgen.ai/en, 4 September 2026. The homepage sells a Company Brain. The product is a .pptx.

Gamma will give you a web deck. Beautiful.ai will give you Smart Slides. Copilot will talk in the sidebar. offgen's FAQ on the homepage is colder about the output:

offgen works where presentations are finalized and creates native, editable PowerPoint elements rather than screenshots, flattened images, or external links.

— offgen.ai/en, Does offgen run directly in PowerPoint?

It reads the master the way PowerPoint does

An admin uploads a .potx or a .pptx once. That is the only setup the rest of the firm should notice. Their own description of what happens to the file:

offgen reads its layouts, placeholder types, theme colors and fonts, and follows the same master → layout → shape inheritance PowerPoint does.

— offgen.ai/en/mcp

Text lands in the layout's own placeholders, not in floating boxes. Theme fonts stay theme fonts. Outline view still works. They say nothing is redrawn or approximated. Generation typically takes under 15 seconds a slide. Then this, which most AI slide pages would bury:

It is a first draft: check the wording and numbers, not the formatting.

— offgen.ai/en/mcp
offgen MCP page section Three steps, and one of them is yours: upload a master, send the request, receive native PowerPoint, with generation typically under 15 seconds per slide
offgen.ai/en/mcp, 4 September 2026. Step one is yours. The other two stay in the assistant you already use.

The add-in is for people working inside PowerPoint. MCP is for the agent. Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini. If the assistant speaks MCP, it can call offgen. There is no plugin for the team to install. The admin pastes a JSON connector aimed at https://api.offgen.ai/mcp and a bearer key. Each organization currently gets one key. It is issued to an admin and revocable. It does not yet name the person who asked. Per-user attribution is on the roadmap.

offgen MCP page: Your assistant hands back the deck, not an outline, with a private-preview badge and a demo of an agent composing from 24 layouts in a connected master into brand-deck.pptx
offgen.ai/en/mcp, 4 September 2026. The demo is composing from the layouts in the master. Not inventing a theme.

There is no seat price, and they decrypt the master

Licensing is agreed per company. It is not published per seat. They say it depends on company size and generation volume. There is no self-service signup. After a demo you get a proposal. The MCP is a private preview: the admin gets the key and a line to the engineers. If you wanted a card and a trial tonight, this is the wrong shop.

They encrypt in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256. They are also explicit about the limit:

This is not end-to-end encryption: offgen decrypts your master in order to read its layouts.

— offgen.ai/en/mcp

That is the product working. A vault that cannot see the master cannot fill it. The managed service and its standard language models are hosted in the European Union, they say, and files are not used to train models by default. ISO/IEC 27001 is certified. The privacy policy still lists OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini among subprocessors. If EU-hosted models are the reason you are buying, ask which model answers the brief, and from which region, before you send the pitchbook.

offgen MCP page: not end-to-end encryption because it decrypts the master, one organisation-scoped key, and a private-preview block covering no self-service signup, per-company licensing, and the risk of picking the wrong layout
offgen.ai/en/mcp, 4 September 2026. They put the weak spots on the product page. Read that block before the demo.

They already named the miss

offgen always uses a layout from your master and places text in real placeholders. It can still select the wrong layout. You can change that choice without rebuilding the slide. Wording and numbers always need a human review. That is their line, on the MCP page, under “where it is still weak.”

Who should not buy it

Skip it if you do not have a master worth governing. Skip it if the job is a pretty web deck you will never open in PowerPoint. Skip it if you need a person-level audit of every MCP call today. Skip it if you cannot send a master to a service that will decrypt it. Skip it if you need a public price.

Buy the demo if the firm already lives in a .potx, the assistants are already in the building, and the failure mode you actually have is a partner sending a Gamma file into a client workshop. Start at the listing, then read the MCP page before anyone books time. The homepage will show you a Company Brain. The inheritance is what you are buying.

Hugging Face Is Leaving With NVIDIA

The Hub is still a git host for three million models. NVIDIA is buying it for about $12.9 billion. Independent European software it is not. We took the listing down.

Cryptomator Mounts a Vault the Host Cannot Open

Desktop is free. You put a password on a folder in the cloud you already pay for. Cryptomator mounts a virtual drive. Files and filenames leave as AES-256. Hub brokers keys. It does not sell storage.
