Ecosia

Ecosia, launched in 2009 in Berlin, Germany, is a search engine with a mission to combat climate change by funding tree planting with 100% of its profits. Using Bing’s search technology with its own algorithms, Ecosia operates on CO2-neutral servers and has planted over 200 million trees by 2022. It appeals to environmentally conscious users and has partnered with Qwant to challenge Google in Europe. Available as a browser extension and mobile app, Ecosia combines sustainability with a privacy-respecting approach.
